1. Scope

This return and revocation policy applies exclusively to consumers within the meaning of applicable European Union consumer protection laws (B2C customers).

Business customers, companies, traders, or other commercial purchasers (B2B) are not entitled to a statutory right of withdrawal or return unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.

By placing an order as a business customer, you acknowledge and accept that purchases are binding and non-cancellable except in cases of warranty claims or where otherwise required by mandatory law.

2. Right of Revocation for Consumers (B2C)

Consumers have the legal right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires fourteen (14) days after the day on which the consumer, or a third party indicated by the consumer other than the carrier, acquires physical possession of the goods. In the case of multiple goods ordered in one order and delivered separately, the period begins upon receipt of the last item.

3. Excercising the Right of Revocation

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the consumer must inform:

of the decision to withdraw from the contract by means of a clear statement (for example by letter or email). The model withdrawal form below may be used but is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that the consumer sends the communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

4. Effects of Withdrawal

If a consumer withdraws from this contract, all payments received from the consumer, including the standard delivery costs, will be reimbursed without undue delay and no later than fourteen (14) days from the day on which we are informed about the withdrawal.

Additional delivery costs resulting from the choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery offered will not be reimbursed.

Reimbursements will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise. No fees will be charged for the reimbursement.

The seller may withhold reimbursement until the goods have been received back or the consumer has provided proof of having sent back the goods, whichever occurs first. 

5. Return of Goods

Consumers must send back or hand over the goods without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen (14) days from the day on which the withdrawal was communicated. The deadline is met if the goods are dispatched before the 14‑day period expires.

Returned items must include all original components, accessories, documentation, and packaging. The goods should be returned in their original condition suitable for resale.

Consumers are responsible for the direct costs of returning the goods unless otherwise agreed.

The consumer is only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

6. Return Procedure

After the request has been reviewed, instructions for the return process and, where applicable, a return shipping label will be provided.

Including the order number and a brief description of the return request will help ensure faster processing.

7. Exclusion of Returns for Business Customers (B2B)

Orders placed by business customers are considered final and are not subject to the statutory consumer withdrawal rights. Returns, cancellations, or refunds for B2B transactions are generally excluded.

Any exception to this policy must be agreed in writing in advance by Rigol Technologies EU GmbH.

This exclusion does not affect statutory warranty rights that may apply under applicable law.
